Kessington Machined Products specializes in complex, tight-tolerance components for aerospace and defense programs.
From its 65,000-square-foot Elkhart operation, Kessington runs more than 80 machines and uses cellular manufacturing to produce repeat work for families of parts efficiently and consistently. This shop handles everything from rapid prototypes to medium- and high-volume production with deep experience in difficult aerospace alloys.

CAPABILITIES

CNC milling and turning for complex, tight-tolerance components, including 5-, 9-, and 11-axis machining. Kessington supports prototypes through high-volume production.

Swiss CNC machining for small, complex parts that require tight tolerances and multiple operations. The process can combine turning, milling, and drilling to reduce secondary handling.

CNC OD/ID grinding and honing for components that require precise dimensions, tight tolerances, and controlled surface finishes.

Nadcap-accredited wire EDM for precision nonconventional machining, plus CNC water jet cutting for complex shapes and materials that benefit from a heat-free cutting process.

Kessington’s engineering team develops manufacturing processes around repeatability, manufacturability, and long-term production. The team works with customers to turn drawings and concepts into processes that can scale consistently.

HISTORY
More than 50 years of aerospace machining.
1974 — Kessington Machine Products is founded and begins building a reputation for producing precision-machined components for demanding aerospace and defense applications.
2016 — The company rebrands to Kessington Aerospace to signify their depth of expertise in the sector.
2024 — Kessington closes its doors.
28 Days Later — Collective acquires and reopens under the original name, Kessington Machined Products through an Article 9 foreclosure, and rehires 30 of its original employees.d where it
